  3. The install program AND Grocery Manager REQUIRE that VBRUN200.DLL be in one of
  4. the directories in your path, your Windows directory, or your Windows System
  5. directory, or they won't run.
  6.  
  7. VBRUN200.DLL isn't included in this archive because many people already have
  8. it, it's big (357K), and it is very annoying to have a 357K file included
  9. that you already have. It can be found separately on many BBS'es (see list
  10. at the end of this file), and it is available in library #6 of the WINSHARE
  11. forum, library #7 of the ZNT:PBS forum, or library 2 of the ZNT:WINSOU forum
  12. on Compuserve as VBRUN2.ZIP.
  13.  
  14. Be sure a copy of VBRUN200.DLL is in your path, your Windows directory, or
  15. your Windows System directory, then follow the instructions below:

  17. Requirements to run Grocery Manager for Windows

  20. 1) Windows 3.x running in Standard or Enhanced Mode
  21.  
  22. 2) Disk space needed:
  23.         Windows 3.0: 830K
  24.             Subtract 357K if you already have VBRUN200.DLL
  25.             Subtract  37K if you already have DDEML.DLL
  26.         Windows 3.1: 793K
  27.             Subtract 357K if you already have VBRUN200.DLL
  28.             
  29. 3) Minimum free memory in Windows to run GMW: 300K
  30.  
  31. Installing Grocery Manager for Windows (GMW)
  32.  
  33. Automatic Installation
  34.  
  35. Unzip GMW108.ZIP onto a floppy or into an empty directory on your
  36. hard drive. While in Windows, start INSTALL.EXE. You will be presented
  37. with a default directory for GMW to be installed into. This can be
  38. changed to anything you want, but please keep GMW in its own
  39. directory. Check the box if you want a program group created
  40. for GMW, and then click on the start button. Click on the Exit
  41. button when the installation is complete, and then delete all files
  42. from the directory you unzipped GMW108.ZIP into.
  43.  
  44. Files on the floppy that aren't transferred to your hard drive
  45. by the install program are:

  47. describe.txt
  48. diskstat.dll
  49. file_id.diz
  50. install.exe
  51. install.inf
  52. packing.txt
  53. readme.txt
  54. sysop.txt
  55. vendor.txt

  57. Manual Installation
  58.  
  59. Place VBRUN200.DLL and VBISAMMX.DLL in your Windows System directory.
  60. If you are running Windows v.3.0, also place DDEML.DLL in your Windows
  61. System directory (if you have Windows v.3.1, it's already there).
  62. Create a directory for GMW, and place all remaining files, except
  63. the files on the above list, into this directory.

  65. GMW Sample Files and a Quick Tour of GMW
  66.  
  67. Included with GMW are some sample files so you can evaluate GMW
  68. without having to manually enter any data. These files are
  69. copied to your hard drive during the automatic installation. The
  70. sample files will enable you to see how Grocery Manager works.
  71.  
  72. Immediately after installing GMW, go to the View menu, and
  73. browse through the various screens to view. The sample files are
  74. set up so that you can view or printout a sample menu and
  75. shopping list without going through the usual steps to make one.
  76. Select Shopping List from the View menu. This is an example of
  77. what you would take to the grocery store. Select Menu from the
  78. View menu. This is a sample of a menu that shows what meals are
  79. planned on each day.

  81. When you get to the point that you want to enter your own data,
  82. you may either modify the existing data, or delete it and start
  83. over. To completely delete the data and start over, be sure that
  84. GMW isn't running, and go to the directory that GMW was
  85. installed in and delete all the data files by typing the
  86. following command at a DOS prompt: "Del *.IS?".

  88. Where to get the latest copy of Grocery Manager:

  91. In an effort to make it easier for you to obtain your favorite software,
  92. the latest updates of many ASP authored programs can be found on the BBSs
